Hello. I've recently been getting into the different styles of qigong, and i recently stumbled upon the practise of sleeping qigong(shui gong)

I've googled it countless times, and although there is info about the technique and its many benefits, nowhere have i been able to find the ACTUAL technique itself.

So i was wondering if anybody would be so kind as to inform me as to what the technique entails?

Thank you xxx

ah, the wonders of sleeping qigong....

there are to my (limited) understanding a few positions recommended for sleeping qigong, the most popular being to lie on the right-hand side (allows blood to pool into the liver and keeps pressure off the heart). The usual position is with the left ankle positioned just behind the right knee, and the arms crossed with the hands on the shoulders. The neck should be supported. I believe the intention is to allow correct alignment with the meridians to allow qi to pass unhindered.

scroll down a bit within the various threads here and Becca had provided some links when I asked about sleeping qigong way back when.

regards

AD

Hello. Thank you so much for this imformation. So do you know if there's any specific breathing technique i should employ whilst laying in this position?

Once again, thank you for your response
